Grab’s social media team is responsible for branding and marketing communications on all Grab social media assets & channels, meaning that we are not only to win their hearts and minds but also to put yourself in the lens of consumers and partners.
The team must come up with social media strategies & a campaign plan to build the brand proposition of a ‘technology company that does good for the country’ and also grow Grab Indonesia's business and brand presence on social media simultaneously.

As a Social Media Strategist - 40%
You will be responsible for strategy and overseeing all the social media campaigns at Grab Indonesia's social media channel - for all verticals. Also to ensure flawless coordination, brand presence to align with the marketing objectives that help drive forward a critical part of Grab’s overall brand matrix for our users. You are able to develop a very high-quality social media strategy and campaign ideas for Grab.
As s Social Media Team Lead - 40%
Your main responsibility is also to manage the social media content team that manage all verticals, that contain several assistant managers, executive, and officer level. Make sure they are happy but at the same time excel and perform at their job & responsibilities. Lead them by example and able to become a career coach that helps their personal & career development.
As Super App enthusiast and marketing - 20%
Apart from managing and overseeing Grab social media channels and campaigns, this role has to understand the super app business and follow the related trends and key opinion leaders/influencers on social media. This role must demonstrate an ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment. Highly organized.
Must demonstrate an ability to handle multiple projects, partners and escalations. Understanding of the super app industry, influencers and Indonesia social media trends.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Ability to work closely with stakeholders, peers, Grab senior management, marketing support teams, vertical heads, support functions, external agencies, group leaders and other employees and departments in the company.
Social Media Campaign Overview - 70%
Initiate, direct, supervise, and overview social media campaigns and initiatives for all Grab social media channels. Work with other departments & teams to develop campaign support, content plan & timelines coinciding with marketing or campaign releases, campaign support content, and influencers campaign.
In relation to social media management: direct, discuss and supervise strategy and social media content development that drives business, marketing goals, brand conversations and engage with customers. Keep up-to-date with social media trends from Twitter to the TikTok platform.
Social Media Campaign & Project Coordination - 30%
Liaise with internal team & external agencies to ensure on-time on full delivery of flawless and seamless coordination with related PICs and campaigns
Tracking results on a campaign basis by working with multiple stakeholders to ensure the campaign KPI is right on track and delivered as committed.
The Must-Haves
You have Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility
Minimum 6 years experience developing engaging and top-rated social media strategy, campaign, and content
Have experience managing and leading a social media team
Solid leadership with the ability to balance between result and development
Communications, writing, marketing, advertising, or related background
Proven work experience as a social media lead/manager/strategist or similar role
Portfolio of a social media campaign, strategy, content and managed assets
Understanding of how social media can drive results for the business, brand love, and high brand conversation
Excellent in managing senior stakeholders
Experience with Social Media Management & Listening tools
Strong cultural curiosity and understanding of current social media trends
Comfortable with social media crisis management
A fluent English speaker with excellent written skills.
You are organised, insightful and can communicate your observations well, both written and verbally, displaying rigorous analytics and strategic thought
