About the Australian Federal Police (AFP)
The AFP is a progressive and multi-faceted law enforcement organisation that leads Australia’s efforts to combat transnational crime. Countering organised crime, terrorism and protecting Australia’s national security interests are the AFP’s major priorities. The three primary mechanisms by which these can be achieved are through operational cooperation, information flows and capacity building.
Through its International Network of officers based overseas, the AFP plays a critical role in fighting crime at its source and preventing harm to the Australian community. The AFP’s international engagement makes a strong contribution to Australia’s broader international relations and provides the nation with the capability to address transnational crime threats wherever they occur.
AFP Indonesia is located within the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, the Australian Consulate in Bali and the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) in Semarang. About the position
The AFP Office Manager leads a large team of Indonesian and expatriate Locally Engaged Staff (LES), who provide operational and administrative support to deployed AFP officers. The role requires strong supervisory skills, initiative, flexibility and the ability to solve problems and make sound decisions. Proven ability to consistently deliver high quality results in a dynamic, unpredictable environment is critical to the role.
