Job Description

McConnell Dowell is an international main contractor who has been active in South East Asia since 1971 and has a long history of successful project delivery in the region. We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor with contracts management experience for our water treatment project in Indonesia.

About the Role:

Assist the Commercial Manager to compile quantities and cost to support Variation submissions.
Assist with compiling progress claim and payments for the project.
Ensure the efficient and effective management of subcontracts for the project.
To value add to the contract management process of the Project to ensure the profitability of the project is maximised.
Adherence to the McConnell Dowell Integrated Management System and Project Execution Plan.
Head Contract Administration responsible for measurement and valuation of the works, payment claim, and managing change/ Variations/extension of time.
Subcontract/ supplier administration in payment claims, variation claims and closing out accounts.
Track change instructions, revision to drawings, free issue material deliveries and correspondence.
Maintain detailed and organized files.
Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.
Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, facilitate contractor meetings.
Ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations.
Perform closing activities as needed.
Track payments and deadlines.
Analyse and mitigate risk.
Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.

About You:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Contracts Management related discipline
5 years of relevant contracts management experience in civil construction projects
Good interpersonal and communication skills
