This role is responsible for coordinating inbound/outbound logistics activity for the Plant and ensuring full compliance to relevant law and regulations.
Position Overview:
Transport planner is responsible for coordinating inbound/outbound Logistic to ensure full compliance to the relevant law & regulations. This role is to coordinate & collaborate with Warehouse team in determining the traffic movement as well as ensuring delivery date is as per request in fulfillment the production requirement.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Processes: Coordinating all inbound activities from both local and overseas suppliers, such as arrival scheduling, importation, sampling at the port if required, customs clearance, and transportation; liaising with third party logistics and Material Management team. Communicate with external parties for customs clearance (BPOM, Customs) and expediting clearance process as required. Collaborating with Planning function on prioritization and scheduling of inbound arrival, and monitoring it with the Freight Forwarder to ensure on-time arrival. Maintaining communication with relevant parties regarding carrier delays and any other operational issues that affect shipment ETA’s.
Outbound Processes: Coordinating samples shipment to support laboratory operations. Ensure timely delivery of beverage base to customers, liaising with Customer Service, Warehouse, and third party logistics.
Indirect Purchase: Raising Purchase Orders for indirect materials based on request from users. Sending approved Purchase Orders to vendors. Ensure no PO violation per SPP requirements.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in logistics or business administration
Related Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years logistics experience
General understanding of the transportation industry / law, customs law in Indonesia
Knowledge of Freight Brokerage or export import processes
Dangerous Goods License
Functional Skills:
Excellent written and spoken communication skills are vital, as this position will be corresponding daily with many important people and parties. English proficient.
Time management and multi-tasking. Able to work after regular work hours as needed in a fast-paced challenging environment
Strong organizational skills, ability to be self-directed and manage competing priorities in a deadline driven environment.
Think independently and handle multiple issues through to completion
Strong team player, good collaboration and influence with management and cross function teams
High sense of urgency, strong attention to details and follow-up skill
Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
Proficient in Microsoft Office
