Job Summary
The Production Planner is based in Batam, Indonesia. Mainly responsible to coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments.
What a typical day looks like:
Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department managers to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
Develops production plan and may release manufacturing orders to support plan.
Coordinates the requisition of material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
Communicates quality issues including shut down of the process if it's jeopardizing the integrity of STI's quality commitment.
Coordinates material delivery with warehouse personnel to support manufacturing schedule.
Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
Determines daily product pack schedules to support overall production schedule and product on-time delivery.
Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
Moves or transports materials from one department to another.
Performs system transactions to report movement of material between manufacturing operations and into finished goods and tracks/reports daily progress of manufacturing orders against goal.
Notifies Production Planning Manager of critical movement material and production situations that could impact schedule attainment.
Computes amount of material required to complete job orders.
Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
Tracks and reports some key manufacturing metrics, such as cycle time against goal efficiency and assists in cycle time reduction and efficiency improvement efforts.
Arranges for repair and assembly of material or part.
Monitors and controls movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor with relevant experience
More than 2 Years working experience in related field
Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions. Ability to operate telephones, data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base systems
