Job Description
Managing the procurement of Electrical/Electronics components in Batam manufacturing plants
Technical sound in various fabricated parts manufacturing, material (engineering plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous material, market index), cost analysis and secondary processes such as plastic injection, stamping, Casting, Machining, fastener, Ag contact, Spring, packaging, elastomer)
Work with cross-functional departments and teams to identify and address procurement issues
Develop crisis management plans to mitigate dynamic inventory situations (shortfall, excess, quality issues, delivery issues, etc) in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment
Develop the procurement team members' capabilities and optimize their performance
Ability to analyse, estimate, understand and challenge the cost breakdown with proposal to optimize the cost
Supplier Relationship management, building strong supplier relationship, build strong rapport with supplier top management, dealing with suppliers from different geography (China, India, EAJP and Europe)
Resourceful and good in problem resolution to support Quality and supply chain issues
Agile with strong leadership in engaging various stakeholders in quick problem resolution
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing
8+ years team management experience within Procurement or similar function, preferably in electrical component manufacturing
Willing to be based in Batam
Strong leadership skills, good communication, analytical skills and people development ability
Has been Lead Negotiator during major contractual discussions
Proven knowledge in developing executing and reviewing crisis management plans
SAP knowledge
In-depth knowledge of import and export procedures, possess strong knowledge in managing large inventory and variety of raw material and finished goods
Project management experience demonstrating on-time delivery and improving the quality of suppliers
Excellent communication in verbal and written ENGLISH
