The Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI) Specialist provides institutional, technical, strategic and operational support in the area of protection, gender and inclusion to the IFRC CCD as well as the National Societies in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. The focus of the role is upon supporting the capacity development of IFRC staff at the CCD to integrate PGI into ongoing programming and to support the national societies of Palang Merah Indonesia and Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste in capacity development in the area of PGI including the development and implementation of strategies, policies and operational guidelines on PGI, Safeguarding and PSEA. The position will also play a key role in ensuring the mainstreaming of PGI into IFRC funded emergency operations and will support coordination work with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Humanitarian Country Team on issues related to PGI, SGBV and PSEA.
