Job Description

Purpose of the position is to manage the whole operations team of the country or region assigned and ensure operational excellence is achieved through establishing structures and standardization of process, policies, and procedures and its continuous improvements towards high quality operation and services of equipment, market, and customer satisfaction, while aligning with the Divisional strategy and close collaboration with the BLM and other management team.

Main Accountabilities :

1. Manage the overall activities of operation team according to what is agreed in a customer contract, including equipment maintenance and reparation activities, to reach the optimal equipment performance.
2. Establish a full cycle maintenance plan and strategies including preventive, predictive and corrective to support and enhance the maximum performance of equipment by putting operational safety as priority.
3. Ensure implementation of the maintenance schedule in order to reach the minimum service level agreement as agreed.
4. Provide full-set implementation of high quality customer service and productivity.
5. Act as the highest decision maker to resolve problem and critical issues related to maintenance and service in the operational team.
6. Ensure that all sites and branches comply to the local government regulation, customer site regulation, and conduct necessary audits in the operational scope.
7. Establish procedures, policies, structure and business process flowchart in operation scope including OEM, maintenance, customer service, inventory management to reach operational excellence and conduct review to ensure a continuous improvement, aligning with Epiroc Way, Group guidelines, and local government regulations.
8. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and run a safe, injury/accident free workplace
9. Responsible for the effective communication, information distribution from Head Office and Group and deliver successful management of labor in operational team.
10. Responsible for operational budget forecasting, including cost projection, spareparts requirement and maintenance projection, in close collaboration with operation team and branch managers, and monitor the expenses realization versus projected budget, analyze the variance, and implement a corrective action.
11. Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
12. Work closely with Contract Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
13. Work closely with the SCX team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right spare parts, maintaining healthy inventory.
14. Involved with BLM and TM in analyzing the profitability of any projects in relation to maintenance cost, labor cost, project cost, and responsible to forecast for any investment requirement.
15. Work with HR in the recruitment process as hiring or grandparent manager for Operation dept; ensure transfer knowledge to Operation team members including new comers within Operation department, and to be involved in the disciplinary actions of employee in alignment and coordination with related departments of HR and Compliance .
16. Collaborate with Sales team and HR dept to produce an MPP – Man Power Planning with reasonable workload for Operation dept and ensure the implementation of the plan and to be the first one giving red-flag if any deviance occurred in the field.
17. Close collaboration with HR to ensure that technician teams are being deployed at efficient and effective way related to customer’s contract and take necessary actions.
18. Responsible for monitoring the learning & development cycle of the team, and make sure that performance management and appraisals by his/her subordinates to all team members are being conducted properly and objectively in alignment with HR and HR Group policies and guidelines;
19. Lead the Operation team to reach operational excellence by always referring to Epiroc core and extended values, Epiroc Way of work whilst maintaining compliance with CoC and local government regulations.
20. Strategically build and maintain relationships with the customer’s Operation team and act as liaison between customers and Epiroc team whenever a case of dispute or any conflicts in relation to Operation department might rise, in close coordination with Legal Dept.
21. Keep him/herself updated with the trend and best practices of operational excellence in other mining and/or oil gas, heavy equipment companies and take deeper look of applicability in Epiroc operational team to increase customer value proposition.

Requirements :

Educational Background :

  • Min. Bachelor Degree in Management

Experience :

  • Min. 5 years in the operation of mining site
  • Familiar with Indonesian mining regulations and framework
  • Experienced in building an efficient SOP for mining operation
  • Experienced in a change management process

Technical Knowledge & Skill :

  • Well versed and updated in operational excellence to support maximum performance in a customer site
  • Maintenance of heavy-equipment, including parts knowledge
  • Persuasive skill towards customer
  • Excellent communication skill

This position is a project-based for 1 – 2 years contract duration.
