YPL and BV develop locally led approaches to support marine conservation that benefit people and nature alike. By listening and responding to basic needs, we design our models to catalyse and sustain marine conservation, unlocking the potential of coastal communities to manage their resources. Yayasan Pesisir Lestari (YPL) is a Bali-based marine conservation organisation that aims to empower coastal communities managing their local marine ecosystems in ways that enrich livelihoods and sustain healthy oceans for generations to come. Based in Bali, in cooperation with Blue Ventures, a UK-based marine conservation organisation, we're building partnerships with local organisations who work closely with coastal communities across provinces in Indonesia.
We are currently recruiting a policy advocacy and governance specialist to support our growing policy advocacy team. The position will provide a broad range of support to advocacy Pesisir Lestari’s working sites and facilitating technical support. This is a full-time role based in Yayasan Pesisir Lestari, Bali, with occasional travel to work closely with overseas colleagues, partners, field teams and communities.
