Manulife Information Technology Department as a technology enabler, vary across industries and companies, but the main tasks include testing systems and procedures to ensure they meet technical standards and creating quality and safety documentation. Responsible for identifying technical issues and getting to the root of the problem.

We are looking for someone with:

• University graduated in computer science or technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Java Software Developer or Automation Quality Engineer.
• Proficient in Java coding, Maven project.
• Familiarity with black box and white box testing practices; familiar with technologies such as: Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG and open-source testing frameworks
• Good knowledge of different testing techniques i.e. UI testing, Automated testing; familiar with behavior driven testing
• Know on how to integrate automation testing into CI/CD using Jenkins.
• Experience writing broad test plans and test cases
• Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
• Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
• Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

On the job you will:

• Reviews and translates requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback
• Creates, maintains and executes automation test scripts
• Analyzes automation results and investigate failures
• Designs detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Identifies KPIs for product quality
• Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities, defect frequency first time pass rate
• Keeps up-to-date on latest test software and frameworks
• Drives software development process to quality-centric methodologies
• Identifies Quality Assurance process bottlenecks and design and implement solutions
• Controls, updates and distributes new and revised quality standards and technical changes
• Prepares and deliver formal quality audit reports
