Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Lead and manage projects that elevate the performance of the adidas Accessories & Gear supply base in both efficiency and execution.
  • Measure and evaluate production status and implement new manufacturing ideas and technologies that drive efficiencies, cost competitiveness and digital transformation.
  • Perform or support ME audits at local Accessories & Gear supply partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage T1 suppliers' performance and report key manufacturing excellence indicators such as efficiency, automation, kaizen, digital etc.
  • Ensure Lean Manufacturing Principles are maintained at all projects and Lean Manufacturing measurements are continuously tracked.
  • Focus continuously on product and processes improvements providing the best quality/price value.
  • Lead, manage, and execute Manufacturing Excellene projects that deliver measurable & sustainable increase in manufacturing efficiency, quality, speed, and sustainability.
  • Supporty ASPECT towards future capabilities by establishing criteria/eveluations for all T1 suppliers
  • Manage the high-level communications with T1 busines owners and senior internal/external stakholders
  • Set-up and run regular progressive meetings with all factories to identify challenges and opportunities and align on general strategic direction.
  • Ensure a well-coordinated project approach when leading regional and global projects such as product SMV matrix, printing supply chain management etc. by collaborating with peers
  • Partner with A&G Costing to establish, refine, and support tracking of KPI data for product improvement, automation, and other efficiency improvement initiatives relating to cost savings
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Excellence Footwear and Apparel team to identify synergies in Innovation, automation, Digitalization, and other efficiency measures for future cost mitigation opportunities.Facilitates cross-functional events such as supply partners visits, workshops, summiyts, etc.
  • Partner with external suppliers for automation and digitalization solutions and attend industry trade fairs to keep educated on industry technology development that will impact productivity. Transfer knowledge into productivity improvement efforts across A&G supply partners.
  • Maintain platform for knowledge transfer throughout the adidas organization and supplier groups such as Best Practice Manual, Training Material, Presentations, supplier summits, exchange meetings, etc.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background
  • Strong Digitalization and Data analytic skills.
  • Strong skills in Project management
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to cope with change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty
  • Ability to network with multiple customers
  • Innovative and challenges status quo
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill with all levels of business
  • Visionary and is continuously updated on knowledge of where industry is going
  • Competency with Excel, PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of Office 365 Apps, Power Apps is a plus
  • Fluent in English

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree with focus on industrial engineering related area
  • At least five (5) years of work experience in preferable sporting goods industry
  • Operational experience in multinational companies
  • Experience in Lean and Digital manufacturing implementations is a plus
