Primary Administration
1 To be responsible for the efficient running of the school office and delegate tasks to designated staff as appropriate;
2.Leading the liaison with middle and senior leaders in delegating administrative tasks to appropriate members of the support staff team;
3.Opening the school office and operating the telephone from 7:30 a.m. each day to ensure service in timely manner;
4.Provide refreshments for visitors to the school as appropriate;
5.Dealing quickly and calmly with any emergencies in order to giving accurate information to the nurses and emergency services when required;
6.Checking that student registers and staff lists are taken to emergency meeting point in the event of a fire/other emergency which requires the school to be evacuated;
7.Be responsible for ensuring that all general word processing letters, forms, booklets, programmes;
8.Carrying out input all student data on the school database to ensure records are up to date and completely accurate;
9.Distributing of all incoming mail and deliveries and supervise recording of outgoing post;
10.Carrying out of all general office duties, including reception, switchboard and students information;
11.Ensure that the School Office complies with the Data Protection Act;
General Duties
12 To be familiar with, and uphold all, Safeguarding policies and Child Protection and Responsible Use of Data policies and procedures within the school;
13 In liaison with the Line Manager, take responsibility for upholding Health and Safety practice within own working area and be responsible for completing risk assessments/near misses as appropriate;
14 Undertake any other reasonable duties as advised by the Head of Primary.
