Position Title : Site Project Manager, Tanjung Enim CtDME Project Reports To : Project Director, Tanjung Enim CtDME Project

Department: Indonesia Task Force, GEMTE Asia Location: Home office: Jakarta. Transitioning to full-time domestic site assignment, South Sumatra (camp based with leave rotation)

POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent is responsible to lead the execution of the construction sub-project and all Indonesia local elements of an Air Products coal gasification mega-project in South Sumatra, Indonesia, under the direction of the Project Director. This is a construction camp-based position.

NATURE AND SCOPE
Under the direction of the Project Director, the Site Project Manager will lead all of the construction site functions, such as construction, startup, facilities, logistics management, etc. He/she will support the Construction and Commissioning Phases, ensuring delivery to safety, schedule, cost and quality objectives. He/she will communicate closely and effectively with the Project Director, and will locally lead the interface with the Customer’s site representatives, government agencies, NGO’s, local communities and other interfaces.

Number of Direct Reports: 10
Overall Supervision: Up to 300 employees and contract staff & a construction workforce peaking at ~8,000 direct workers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:
        • Support the Project Director in establishment of the project team and lead the establishment of related infrastructure and people logistics at the site.
        • Establishing and maintaining relationships with Customer’s site representatives, government agencies, NGO’s, local communities and other interfaces. Primary point of contact.
        • Manage labor relations and community relations.
        • Controlling the project construction cost within budget, ensuring the completion of project within the committed schedule while achieving critical success factors of safety, cost, schedule, quality, and reliability.
        • Ensuring spend and changes at the site are managed in strict accordance with the delegation of authority.
        • Ensuring the country/site related project technical and execution risks are identified and managed.
        • Ensuring the site team is adequately resourced in all functions.
        • Ensuring adequate and effective communication within the project team, within and across the regional project execution team and other functional areas, to accomplish project goals and ensure sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and feedback.
        • Maintaining systematic and healthy working relationships with counterparts in China, USA and Europe in support of global consistency of work process, sharing best practices, ensuring Engineering Procedures and work processes are followed in the project execution.
        • Interfacing and managing PMC and EPC Contractor/LDI/Construction Contractors to ensure completion of their contract deliverables (engineering, design, procurement and construction) timely and in good quality.
        • Ensuring project construction status is transparently, accurately and clearly reported out on monthly basis following the global work processes and methodology.
        • Ensuring implementation of project change management work process, and all changes to the project baseline are identified and logged in project Baseline Change Database, and approval for all changes are obtained as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
        • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering.
        • Minimum 15 years work experience in project management environment, with majority of that time working within structured, disciplined, international-standard project management framework. Must have proven track record of successful turnkey project execution >$50MM project value in project manager role, preferably in coal gasification, coal chemical or petrochemical industries. Strong Indonesia execution experience is a must-have.
        • Demonstrates strong project management and project engineering skills with a proven track record, including significant time working in construction environment.
        • Demonstrates experience-based understanding of Indonesia project execution, especially with respect to government relations, permitting, compliance and community relations.
        • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and attributes, and high emotional intelligence (EQ).
        • Credible, confident and self-assured. Demonstrates high professional standards. Able to competently represent the company in front of customer, government and community officials.
        • Consistently meets commitments, and delivers to a very high standard.
        • Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking in terms of customer, vendor and sub-contract relationships and contracts. Strong negotiating skills.
        • Demonstrates strong execution risk awareness, with a natural risk management mindset.
        • Demonstrates good teamwork, mediation skills, and highly effective communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
        • Resilient and self-motivated.
        • Possess fluent Bahasa and English language skills in both writing and speaking.
