Job Description

Summary
Main Responsibilities
A. Develop, Coordinate and Control of the sustainability activities at a National level for Coffee business.
1. Ensure the implementation of the Platforms strategy in coordination with the Robusta/ Arabica Sustainability Lead Agronomists (Responsible Sourcing Strategy and Collborative Initiatives) and promote the work to the destination marketing teams and regional management
a. Lead the delivery of LDC Responsible Sourcing Strategy (verified and certified supply chains):
  • Develop targets, workplans and budgets
  • Supervise the relationship with certification schemes (Rainforest Alliance, 4C, Fairtrade, etc)
  • Report and follow up on customers’ requirements of certified /verified coffee
  • Aid the origination team with the roll out of LDC COC, providing explaination and recording the progress
  • Assist in the verification and verification of supply chains under LDC RS, establishing projects, running internal and external audits
b. Oversee development of projects (from initial concept and continuing through the lifetime of the project and including Impact measurements) :
  • Coordinate with internal (non-direct reports) and external stake holders ensuring effective and relevant projects and impact assessments
  • Produce monthly update reports on progress of projects
  • Produce yearly updates with regards to to project impact assessments
  • Centralize data and increase visibility of achievements through data
B. Manage the local sustainability team of Sustainability assistants and agronomists and coordinate internally with other segments of the business.
C. Develop new market responsive sustainable initiatives in Indonesia in collaboration with LDC Coffee Regional Sustainability Manager for Asia and the Arabica/Robusta Lead Agronomists.
D. Contribute to LDC’s understanding of sustainability coffee production and bring visibility on LDC sustainability programs by participating in appropriate forums and platforms in Indonesia, in coordination with the Arabica and Robusta Sustainability Managers and LDC Indonesia Corporate Affairs Manager.
Experiences
1. Bachelor’s degree in sustainability management, agriculture, international development or similar relevant topics
2. 5 years with a minimum three years’ experience in managing field projects in coffee or other agricultural commodities, including work planning, budgeting, and training local staff.
3. Experience in coffee is a strong advantage.
4. Very good level of English and Bahasa
5. Strong presentation skills and knowledge of MS (Excel/PPT)
