Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards as outlined by local health regulations and our internal policies.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment—including grills, ovens, fryers, and food processors—safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the development of new dishes, offering creative input on flavor combinations, plating, and seasonal menu updates.
- Monitor inventory levels, report low stock, and help with basic receiving and storage of food supplies.
- Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff, including sous‑chefs and line cooks, to ensure smooth service during both peak and off‑peak hours.
- Handle high‑pressure situations calmly, maintaining speed without compromising quality.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, providing feedback on workflow improvements and potential cost‑saving measures.
- Adhere to shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Continuously improve personal culinary skills through on‑the‑job training, workshops, and staying updated with industry trends.
Requirements
- Male or female candidates, maximum age of 40 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK with a focus on Culinary Arts (Tata Boga) or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of proven experience working as a cook or chef in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong grasp of basic cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, braising, and knife skills.
- Solid understanding of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated responsibility, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
