Introduction
We are seeking a passionate Tentor Bahasa Indonesia to provide high‑quality instruction to senior high school (SMA) and vocational (SMK) students. This full‑time role is based in the Gondanglegi area and offers a dynamic environment where educators can inspire the next generation of Indonesian speakers. The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (S1) and a strong academic record, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Bahasa Indonesia lessons aligned with national curriculum standards for SMA/SMK learners.
- Develop customized teaching materials, worksheets, and multimedia resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, oral examinations, and written assignments, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrative staff to coordinate schedules, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Organize extracurricular language activities such as debate clubs, storytelling sessions, and cultural events to deepen students’ appreciation of Indonesian literature and heritage.
- Track attendance, prepare daily lesson reports, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance.
- Stay updated on emerging pedagogical trends, digital tools, and educational technology to continuously improve instructional delivery.
Requirements
- Graduated with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1), currently in at least semester 7 if still studying.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Strong dedication to teaching, with a nurturing and creative personality.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, a good command of English.
- Ability to build rapport with teenagers, demonstrating patience, empathy, and motivational leadership.
- Residency in Gondanglegi or surrounding neighborhoods is highly preferred.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, including occasional after‑school tutoring sessions.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and the use of educational software.
