Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Tahfidz Al‑Qur’an to join our dynamic team of educators. This position is ideal for a passionate individual who not only possesses strong memorization of the Qur’an (minimum six Juz) but also demonstrates the ability to integrate modern information technology into the learning environment. As a key member of our institution, you will help shape the spiritual and academic growth of students, fostering both religious devotion and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Qur’an memorization lessons for students of varying ages, ensuring coverage of at least six Juz per curriculum cycle.
- Prepare daily lesson plans, supplemental teaching materials, and assessment tools that align with the Ministry of Education standards.
- Utilize IT tools—including educational software, multimedia presentations, and online platforms—to enhance the learning experience and track student progress.
- Conduct regular recitation assessments, provide constructive feedback, and develop individualized improvement plans for each learner.
- Organize and supervise Qur’an recitation competitions, community outreach programs, and religious events that promote a culture of memorization and understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, memorization milestones, and certification achievements.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive, communicative environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of honesty, responsibility, and professional conduct both inside and outside the classroom.
- Participate in continuous professional development workshops, including advanced Tajweed training and instructional technology seminars.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- At least one (1) year of teaching experience in Qur’an memorization or related religious education.
- Proficiency in reciting and teaching at least six Juz of the Qur’an with correct Tajweed.
- Possession of a valid Syahadah certificate confirming mastery of Qur’an memorization.
- Strong computer literacy: ability to operate educational software, virtual classrooms, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills: friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with students and parents.
- Demonstrated integrity, punctuality, and a sense of responsibility.
