Introduction
Pakuwon Mall, one of the largest retail and lifestyle destinations in East Java, is seeking a dedicated Koki (Cook) to join its vibrant food‑court team on a full‑time basis. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of dishes in accordance with the mall’s standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene practices, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
- Assist in menu planning, ingredient selection, and portion control to ensure cost‑effective operations.
- Conduct daily inventory checks, report shortages, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, cooking equipment, and kitchen utensils before, during, and after service.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Monitor and manage waste, implementing best‑practice techniques to minimize loss.
- Participate in regular staff briefings, safety drills, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to the shift schedule, which includes morning, afternoon, and weekend rotations, to guarantee consistent coverage.
- Provide courteous assistance to customers when required, addressing special dietary requests and feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a culinary diploma is a strong advantage.
- Physical and mental fitness – ability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Honesty, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Focused mindset with the willingness to work hard and meet tight deadlines.
- Own an Android‑based smartphone for internal communication and shift notifications.
- Not currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Personal vehicle for reliable transportation to and from the mall.
- Availability to work shift patterns, including Saturdays; the role is not open to part‑time candidates.
- Basic cooking skills and a passion for preparing tasty, high‑quality meals.
