Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Motorcycle Courier (Kurir Motor Ekspedisi) to join our logistics team in Medan, specifically covering the Percut Sei Tuan area. As a key member of our delivery network, you will ensure that parcels, documents, and small freight reach customers safely, on time, and in perfect condition. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you will interact with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff while navigating the bustling streets of Medan.
Responsibilities
- Load, secure, and transport items on a personal motorcycle, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
- Inspect each consignment before departure and after delivery to verify completeness, condition, and accuracy.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods from the motorcycle, using proper lifting techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, record mileage, and submit daily activity reports through the company’s mobile application.
- Communicate promptly with the dispatch team regarding any delays, route changes, or issues encountered on the road.
- Follow the most efficient routes by using GPS and map-reading skills, while respecting traffic regulations and local laws.
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers, addressing inquiries and obtaining signatures when required.
- Perform routine checks on the motorcycle, ensuring it remains in prime condition and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Support special delivery projects such as time‑critical shipments, cash‑on‑delivery orders, and bulk parcel consolidations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Valid and active SIM C (motorcycle driving license).
- Own a well‑maintained motorcycle suitable for daily use.
- Reside within the designated service area or be willing to relocate.
- Possess an Android smartphone with at least 4 GB RAM for the company’s delivery app.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and commitment to meeting delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Basic map reading and navigation abilities; familiarity with local streets and traffic patterns.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of moderate‑weight packages.
- Open to working Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
