Introduction
We are seeking a passionate Professional Barista to join our vibrant coffeehouse team and deliver exceptional specialty coffee experiences to our guests. This full‑time position is based in a high‑traffic urban location, operating Monday through Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso, pour‑over, cold brew, and latte art creations, following precise recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation, equipment, and seating area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate and troubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee‑making equipment, performing routine maintenance and reporting any technical issues.
- Manage inventory levels, receive deliveries, and ensure accurate stock rotation of beans, milk, syrups, and consumables.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner, offering recommendations, answering questions about bean origins, and upselling complementary items.
- Handle cash registers, process electronic payments, and reconcile daily sales reports with attention to accuracy.
- Assist in training new team members, sharing best practices for drink preparation, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal menu development, promotional events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to peak‑hour demands while maintaining a calm and organized workflow.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional barista experience in a fast‑paced coffee shop or café environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, bean varieties, and flavor profiling.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact courteously with guests of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated responsibility, discipline, and honesty in handling cash and inventory.
- Adaptable mindset with the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg when needed.
