Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Cashier General – Pengelolaan Transaksi Keuangan Harian to join our fast‑growing retail operations team. This role is the front line of our financial flow, responsible for handling daily cash, card, and electronic transactions with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a patient and empathetic attitude, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑traffic environment while maintaining a positive and energetic presence.

Responsibilities

  • Process all customer purchases, returns, and exchanges using the store’s POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system, ensuring each transaction is recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling any discrepancies and preparing daily cash reports for the finance department.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons, answering product‑related queries, and resolving payment issues with patience and empathy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, including the proper display of promotional materials and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with sales assistants, inventory staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth hand‑offs during peak periods and to support overall store operations.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activity or potential fraud, following company protocols and escalating to management when necessary.
  • Assist in training new cashiers by demonstrating proper cash handling procedures and effective communication techniques.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve checkout efficiency, such as suggesting workflow adjustments or adopting new technology features.

Requirements

  • Minimum of D3/D4 education (associate degree or higher) in business, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience operating a retail cash register or similar POS system.
  • Strong patience, empathy, and an energetic demeanor when interacting with a diverse customer base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to manage large volumes of transactions without errors.
  • Proven teamwork skills, demonstrated by effective collaboration with colleagues across different departments.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a willingness to join the team immediately.
