Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Cook – Daily Worker – Kitchen Operations Support to join our bustling culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and food safety regulations.
- Assist the head chef in daily mise en place, ensuring all stations are fully stocked and organized before service begins.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with HACCP and local health codes.
- Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to fulfill special dietary requests, allergy concerns, and last‑minute menu changes.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in receiving and storing deliveries to minimize waste.
- Support shift transitions by communicating outstanding tasks, temperature logs, and any equipment issues to the incoming team.
- Participate in regular team briefings, offering suggestions for menu improvements, efficiency gains, and cost‑saving measures.
- Adapt to a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays, while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Provide mentorship to junior kitchen staff, sharing best practices in cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
Requirements
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK; preference given to candidates with D3/D4 or S1 degrees in culinary arts or related fields.
- Experience: At least 1–2 years in a similar cooking role; fresh graduates are welcome for the Daily Worker track.
- Strong understanding of hotel and restaurant operations, including food preparation, plating, and service flow.
- Excellent communication skills with a hospitality‑focused mindset; ability to interact courteously with guests and colleagues.
- Professional, neat appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative kitchen team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a disciplined, honest, and responsible attitude.
- For Daily Worker candidates: willingness to work on a daily basis, adapt quickly to new schedules, and start with minimal onboarding time.
- Core skill: Proficiency in cooking techniques, knife handling, and basic food plating.
