Introduction
We are a dynamic, fast‑growing restaurant group seeking a dedicated Cook – Food Preparation Specialist to join our culinary team. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a bustling kitchen environment, possess a solid foundation in food preparation, and are committed to delivering high‑quality dishes that delight our guests. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs, line cooks, and service staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations from Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and season a variety of ingredients according to established recipes and portion control standards.
- Assist senior chefs in cooking, plating, and presenting menu items while maintaining consistency and taste.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and communicate replenishment needs to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and cleaning of workstations.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak periods and special events.
- Document any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in daily briefings, share feedback on menu items, and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
- Adhere to all health department regulations and company policies regarding hygiene, personal conduct, and workplace safety.
- Continuously develop culinary skills through on‑the‑job training, workshops, and mentorship programs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a similar food‑preparation role within a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a disciplined work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team, respecting different cultures and gender identities.
- Strong basic cooking skills, including knowledge of seasoning, grilling, sautéing, and baking techniques.
- Excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities, especially during high‑volume service periods.
- Good communication skills to interact with chefs, front‑of‑house staff, and suppliers.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg when necessary.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
