Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to food safety regulations such as HACCP and local health codes.
  • Monitor inventory levels of perishable and non‑perishable items, communicate replenishment needs, and assist with receiving deliveries.
  • Collaborate with sous‑chefs, line cooks, and service staff to coordinate timing of orders and ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Execute daily prep tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning, to support smooth service during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu development by offering creative input, testing new recipes, and adapting dishes to seasonal ingredients.
  • Participate in regular kitchen briefings, providing feedback on workflow efficiencies and suggesting process improvements.
  • Uphold strict sanitation practices, conduct routine equipment cleaning, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to cost‑control initiatives by minimizing waste, portion control, and efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA) or equivalent (SMK/Sederajat).
  • Open to candidates of any gender.
  • No prior professional experience required; fresh graduates and entry‑level cooks are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong fundamental cooking skills with a focus on hot‑line operations.
  • Ability to work a 9‑hour shift (08:00 – 17:00) from Monday to Saturday, including a 1‑hour paid break.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time‑management abilities.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Flexibility to adapt to menu changes and special event requirements.
