Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cook – Kitchen & Team Manager to lead our culinary operations in the vibrant Gading Serpong area. This pivotal role combines hands‑on cooking expertise with strong leadership, ensuring that our kitchen runs efficiently, safely, and consistently delivers high‑quality dishes that delight our guests. The ideal candidate will be a disciplined professional with a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team of cooks.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, plating, and service for all menu items.
  • Develop and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal menus in collaboration with the executive chef, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory control: forecast ingredient needs, place orders, receive deliveries, and conduct regular stock audits to minimize waste.
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations and HACCP guidelines.
  • Train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and teamwork.
  • Monitor and control food costs, portion sizes, and waste, implementing cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with front‑of‑house managers to ensure smooth service flow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs to avoid downtime.
  • Lead by example in the kitchen, demonstrating proper cooking techniques, plating standards, and workplace safety protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports on kitchen performance, including sales data, cost analysis, and staff performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Maximum age: 27 years.
  • Minimum education: SMA / SMK or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to convey instructions clearly to a multicultural team.
  • Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and a high level of responsibility.
  • Preferably 0+ years of experience in the Food & Beverage (FnB) industry, with proven kitchen experience being an advantage.
  • Willingness to be placed in Gading Serpong and commute or relocate as required.
  • Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and an eagerness to continuously improve culinary skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak service periods while maintaining composure and quality standards.
  • Team‑player mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and workflow optimization.
