Introduction
The Field Collector position in Manado is a pivotal role within our finance and collections department. As a front‑line representative, you will engage directly with customers across the region, ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. This role demands a strong blend of negotiation skills, local area knowledge, and the ability to work independently on a full‑time schedule from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site visits to residential and commercial customers to communicate payment obligations and negotiate settlement plans.
- Collect outstanding payments, issue receipts, and update the central accounting system in real‑time.
- Prepare detailed daily and weekly visit reports, documenting interactions, payment status, and any issues encountered.
- Analyze customer payment history to identify patterns, assess risk, and propose appropriate collection strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams—such as credit, legal, and customer service—to resolve disputes and prevent escalations.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly collection targets set by the department manager.
- Provide feedback on area‑specific challenges, suggesting improvements to routing, scheduling, and outreach tactics.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in collections, with a strong preference for candidates who have 2 years of field collection experience.
- Valid motorcycle (Roda Dua) ownership and a current SIM C driver’s license.
- Thorough knowledge of the Manado metropolitan area, including key neighborhoods and commercial districts.
- Excellent verbal communication and persuasive negotiation abilities, capable of handling sensitive financial conversations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict performance targets.
- Basic computer literacy—experience with collection software, Microsoft Office, and mobile data entry tools.
- Professional demeanor, strong ethical standards, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information.
