Prince of The Sea Training Centre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior English Tutor to join our dedicated team of educators. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging English language curricula for junior and senior high school classes, aligning lessons with national standards and international proficiency benchmarks.
- Utilize a blend of traditional instruction, digital tools, and project‑based learning to develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
- Assess student progress through formative quizzes, written assignments, oral presentations, and standardized tests, providing constructive feedback and individualized support.
- Coordinate extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, drama workshops, and English‑only conversation circles to enhance real‑world communication practice.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum developers, and school administrators to continuously refine instructional strategies and integrate cross‑disciplinary themes.
- Mentor junior tutors and assist in their professional development, sharing best practices and classroom management techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans in the centre’s learning management system.
- Participate in regular faculty meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and professional development seminars to stay current with emerging trends in language education.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- At least one year of proven teaching experience, preferably in a secondary‑school environment.
- Fluent English proficiency with the ability to speak confidently and model correct pronunciation.
- Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to adapt content to diverse learner needs.
