Introduction
We are a rapidly expanding tutoring centre in Jakarta, currently operating fifteen vibrant branches across the city. Our mission is to empower elementary (SD) and middle school (SMP) learners with strong foundations in English and Mathematics, fostering both academic excellence and a love for lifelong learning. We are seeking a dedicated Guru Bimbingan Belajar SD dan SMP who possesses a solid academic background, a minimum of two years teaching experience, and an infectious passion for guiding young minds toward success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons in English and Mathematics to students ranging from grades 1 to 9, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Design and implement individualized learning plans that target specific skill gaps while challenging advanced learners.
- Assess student progress through formative quizzes, homework reviews, and periodic mock examinations, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate attendance and performance records in the centre’s learning management system, ensuring data integrity for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and branch managers to develop interdisciplinary activities, such as math‑English integration projects and enrichment workshops.
- Participate in weekly professional development sessions, sharing best practices and staying current with national education standards and pedagogical trends.
- Uphold a safe, supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and academic integrity.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Mathematics, English Language, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven teaching or tutoring experience with elementary and middle‑school students.
- Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written, enabling effective communication with students and parents.
- Solid grasp of primary and secondary school mathematics concepts, from basic arithmetic to introductory algebra.
- Demonstrated academic achievements or awards that reflect a commitment to scholarly excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 13:00 – 18:00, across any of our Jakarta locations.
