Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and personable Optical Sales & Customer Service Associate to join our dynamic retail team. This full‑time position is based in a busy optical store that serves a diverse clientele ranging from first‑time eyewear shoppers to long‑standing patients with prescription needs. The successful candidate will combine strong product knowledge with a friendly demeanor to deliver an exceptional shopping experience while supporting the store’s operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly, assess their needs, and guide them through the selection of frames, lenses, and accessories.
- Accurately input prescription data into the store’s management system and verify measurements with customers.
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) terminals, handle cash transactions, and process credit card payments with attention to detail.
- Maintain organized display racks, ensure inventory is well‑stocked, and perform regular stock counts.
- Assist in ordering lenses and frames from suppliers, tracking shipments, and updating inventory records.
- Provide after‑sales support, including adjustments, repairs, and handling warranty claims.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly, escalating complex issues to the store manager when necessary.
- Uphold store visual standards, keep the work area clean, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in regular product training sessions to stay current on the latest optical technologies and fashion trends.
- Collaborate with teammates to achieve daily sales targets and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Male candidate, aged 18‑27 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Proficient in basic computer operations, mathematics, and clear, legible handwriting.
- Strong interpersonal skills: friendly, approachable, and able to maintain a professional appearance.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy in prescription handling.
- Ability to work a 2.5‑year contract, Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
- Familiarity with retail or optical store management systems is a plus.
- Team player who can also work independently and manage time effectively.
