Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately, process cash, credit, and digital payments, and issue receipts.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related inquiries, and provide recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Maintain a tidy checkout area, ensure that promotional materials are up‑to‑date, and keep the cash drawer balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with floor staff to restock shelves, verify inventory levels, and report stock shortages or discrepancies.
- Assist in daily opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and preparation of sales reports.
- Utilize basic computer skills to update sales data, process loyalty program registrations, and generate end‑of‑day summaries.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell complementary products, contributing to store revenue targets.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security protocols, including proper handling of cash and sensitive customer information.
- Participate in periodic training sessions, product knowledge workshops, and team meetings to stay current with store initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 25 years.
- Gender: Female (as specified by the employer).
- At least 0 – 1 year of retail or cashier experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy; proficiency with POS software is a plus.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility for handling cash transactions.
