Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese and Asian dishes according to the restaurant’s standardized recipes and SOPs.
- Operate wok stations efficiently, mastering both high‑heat searing techniques and precise temperature control.
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen, including proper storage, sanitation of utensils, and regular equipment checks.
- Coordinate closely with the prep, service, and plating sections to ensure timely order fulfillment and smooth workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in receiving and rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, conduct regular hygiene audits, and promptly address any compliance issues.
- Participate in daily briefings, contribute ideas for menu enhancements, and support special events or promotional nights.
- Flexibly rotate between outlets when required, adapting to different kitchen layouts and team dynamics.
- Track cooking times and manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Mentor junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, knife handling, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates, age up to 40 years.
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably with a focus on Chinese or broader Asian cuisine.
- Proficiency in wok operation, including mastery of both gas and induction cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food handling, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; must collaborate effectively with other sections.
- No seafood allergies, ensuring safe handling of all menu items.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 20:00.
- Good time‑management, problem‑solving mindset, and willingness to continuously improve culinary techniques.
