Responsibilities
- Control and supervise the daily activities of line‑haul trucks and their drivers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Monitor slot timelines for line‑haul operations, coordinating arrival and departure windows to optimize dock usage and reduce dwell time.
- Validate time stamps for truck arrivals and departures, guaranteeing punctuality and accurate reporting for performance metrics.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams, customers, and external partners to resolve any issues that arise with trucks, drivers, or cargo handling.
- Operate the Freight Management System (FMS) to process line‑haul trip transactions, update status, and generate necessary documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, checking for compliance with maintenance schedules, load security, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present daily and weekly operational reports, highlighting key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery rates, truck utilization, and incident logs.
- Collaborate with the planning department to adjust routes, allocate resources, and implement contingency plans during peak periods or unforeseen disruptions.
- Support driver scheduling, shift rotations, and ensure that all staff adhere to the agreed work‑hour policies (Monday‑Saturday, 09:30‑18:30).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or Diploma (equivalent).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Transport Staff or similar role within a logistics or transportation company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to drivers, supervisors, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work in shift schedules and a willingness to start immediately.
- Residency in Banjarbaru or willingness to relocate to the city for the duration of employment.
