Introduction
EV Garage Indonesia is seeking a dedicated Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our fast‑growing team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in a dynamic workshop environment and is passionate about maintaining both conventional and electric motorbikes. As a key member of our service department, you will contribute directly to the reliability and safety of our customers’ vehicles while upholding the highest standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of technical and customer‑facing duties, including but not limited to:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on motorcycles and light electric vehicles using diagnostic tools and wiring schematics.
- Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake adjustments, tire rotations, and battery inspections.
- Repairing or replacing damaged components, including engines, transmissions, suspension parts, and electrical wiring.
- Testing repaired systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintaining accurate service records and updating job tickets in the workshop management system.
- Collaborating with parts inventory staff to ensure timely availability of spare parts.
- Providing clear, courteous explanations of repair findings and recommended services to customers.
- Adhering to workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment.
- Continuously improving technical knowledge through on‑the‑job training, manufacturer workshops, and industry certifications.
Requirements
To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; vocational training in automotive or electromechanical fields is preferred.
- Gender: Male (as specified by current operational requirements).
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience as a motorcycle or light‑vehicle mechanic; experience with electric motorbikes is a strong advantage.
- Licenses: Valid Indonesian driving licence (SIM) and ability to operate a personal vehicle for commute and on‑site duties.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in wiring, cable management, and electric current diagnostics; solid understanding of both gasoline‑powered and electric drivetrain systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication abilities, adaptability to varied work environments, and a professional, customer‑focused attitude.
- Personal Qualities: High level of accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
