Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Merchant Engagement Specialist (MERi – EDC & Sales POSe) to join our fast‑growing team in Jakarta. The role focuses on expanding the adoption of point‑of‑sale (POS) solutions among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the capital region. Ideal candidates are proactive sales professionals with a solid technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping merchants streamline their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct door‑to‑door canvassing and market research to identify merchants that would benefit from POS and EDC solutions.
  • Prospect, present, and close sales of our POS system to a diverse client base, including UMKM, retail stores, restaurants, cafés, and other businesses.
  • Explain product features, pricing structures, and ROI benefits, tailoring the pitch to each merchant’s specific pain points.
  • Install, configure, and maintain EDC (Electronic Data Capture) devices, performing on‑site repairs and providing hands‑on training for cashiers.
  • Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with merchants, conducting regular follow‑ups to ensure satisfaction and to upsell additional services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating complex problems to the support team.
  • Track sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics in the CRM system, meeting or exceeding monthly targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to gather feedback from the field and contribute to product enhancements.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3/S1 preferred.
  • Age: Up to 38 years old.
  • Gender: Open to all.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably in technology or POS solutions.
  • Residence: Must be based in Central, South, West, or East Jakarta.
  • Key Skills: Strong selling ability, effective communication, negotiation, and customer‑service orientation.
  • Personal Attributes: Self‑motivated, team‑player, quick‑thinking, initiative‑driven, detail‑oriented, and fast‑responsive.
  • Technical Requirements: Own a motorbike with a valid SIM C and an Android smartphone with a minimum of 3 GB RAM.
  • Work Schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
