Introduction
Our veterinary clinic is seeking a dedicated Nurse Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team of animal care professionals. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical operations, ensuring all instruments and supplies are prepared and sterilized.
- Perform routine animal care tasks such as restraining, cleaning, and monitoring vital signs for dogs, cats, and other companion animals.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments according to veterinary orders, while accurately recording dosages and patient responses.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, update patient charts, and manage laboratory sample handling and result documentation.
- Educate clients on post‑procedure care, medication schedules, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment by following infection‑control protocols and waste‑disposal guidelines.
- Participate in emergency call‑outs and on‑call rotation, providing timely assistance during after‑hours emergencies.
- Collaborate with the front‑office team to schedule appointments, manage client communications, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Continuously update personal knowledge of veterinary best practices through workshops, seminars, and industry literature.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMK/D3 in Veterinary Nursing, Paravet, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree (S1) is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Vet Nurse or Veterinary Assistant; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated love for animals and confidence handling a variety of species, especially dogs and cats.
- Strong understanding of basic animal care, medication administration, and emergency first aid.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail when assisting in surgical and medical procedures.
- High level of patience, empathy, and compassion toward both animals and their owners.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English for client interaction.
