Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Operator Mesin to join our dynamic production shop located in Magelang. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our CNC and lathe (bubut) machines, ensuring that high‑quality components are produced on schedule. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, follow strict safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that keep our plant competitive in the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC and manual lathe machines according to engineering drawings and work orders.
- Monitor machine performance in real‑time, adjusting feeds, speeds, and tool selections to optimize productivity and surface finish.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments, to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections using gauges, micrometers, and coordinate‑measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Document production data, machine logs, and any deviations from standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues.
- Adhere to shift schedules (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00) and be prepared to work overtime or night shifts when production demands require.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that safety signage and personal protective equipment are used at all times.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement meetings, offering suggestions for process enhancements and cost‑saving measures.
- Assist in training new operators and share best practices to elevate overall team performance.
Requirements

- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent, preferably with a focus on Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience operating CNC and lathe machines in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to program and adjust CNC controls.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills:
