Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on current curricula, academic standards, and emerging trends within the assigned discipline.
- Draft, edit, and finalize textbook chapters, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with subject‑matter experts, instructional designers, and peer reviewers to validate content and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain a consistent writing schedule to meet agreed‑upon manuscript deadlines, typically adhering to a Monday‑Saturday workweek (08:00‑17:00).
- Develop supplemental learning resources such as case studies, practice questions, and teaching guides.
- Ensure all manuscripts comply with copyright regulations, citation standards, and university accreditation requirements.
- Participate in editorial meetings, contribute ideas for new titles, and stay abreast of advancements in educational technology.
- Proofread final layouts, verify figures and tables, and coordinate with the production team for seamless publishing.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Open to all genders.
- Demonstrated competence in writing academic textbooks within the candidate’s field of expertise.
- Active involvement in the education sector as a curriculum instructor, curriculum developer, or education practitioner.
- Experience writing articles, journals, textbooks, or non‑fiction works.
- Strong ability to meet strict manuscript deadlines.
- Excellent command of Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, proficiency in English for reference material.
- Proficiency with word‑processing software (MS Word, Google Docs) and reference management tools (EndNote, Zotero).
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learner audiences.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
