Introduction

We are seeking an energetic and results‑driven Sales Officer for the Samarinda region to champion our product portfolio, build strong retailer relationships, and drive revenue growth. Responsibilities

The Sales Officer will be the face of Starlink in the field, responsible for generating new business and nurturing existing accounts. Key duties include:

  • Promoting and selling Starlink’s satellite internet and related hardware to outlets, dealers, and independent retailers throughout Samarinda and the wider Kalimantan region.
  • Conducting regular on‑site visits to assess product placement, provide demonstrations, and address any technical or commercial inquiries.
  • Developing and maintaining long‑term relationships with store owners and counter managers to ensure consistent product availability and optimal shelf visibility.
  • Preparing and presenting sales proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, and closing deals that align with company targets.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to recommend strategic adjustments to the sales approach.
  • Reporting daily and weekly sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue to the regional sales manager.
  • Participating in training sessions and product launches to stay current on new features, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations while on the road.

Requirements

Successful candidates will meet the following baseline qualifications and demonstrate the soft skills essential for high‑performance sales in a fast‑moving telecom environment.

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; further education in business or communications is a plus.
  • Age & Gender: Male, up to 35 years old.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably in telecommunications, gadget, or related technology sectors.
  • Core Skills: Strong negotiation and closing abilities, excellent communication in Bahasa Indonesia, and a solid grasp of basic technical concepts related to satellite connectivity.
  • Personal Traits: High integrity, disciplined work ethic, self‑motivation, and a genuine sense of responsibility toward customers and the company.
  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel across all areas of Kalimantan, often covering long distances and varied terrain.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn product specifications and convey technical benefits in layman’s terms.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset to work closely with marketing, operations, and after‑sales support teams.
