As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining smooth kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation and cleaning tasks are performed with precision, hygiene, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare simple baked goods and pastries under supervision, applying fundamental baking techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste according to health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Support the kitchen team during peak service periods by replenishing supplies and assisting with plating.
  • Perform basic calculations for ingredient measurements and ensure accurate portion control.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety standards, including proper storage temperatures and cross‑contamination prevention.
  • Participate in daily briefings, follow work schedules, and report any equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn new cooking techniques.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: Up to 30 years old, with a sincere intention (niat) to grow within the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to perform the five daily prayers (solat) and maintain a respectful workplace demeanor.
  • Basic numeracy skills – able to count, measure, and be detail‑oriented (teliti).
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.
  • Preferred experience in baking or general F&B operations.
  • Flexible schedule, not overly busy, and comfortable with a Monday‑Saturday work week.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • Proficiency in operating standard kitchen tools and equipment.
