Introduction

We are seeking an energetic and results‑driven Team Leader – Promotor Penjualan to spearhead our sales initiatives in the Medan area. This full‑time position is based in Medan and reports to the Regional Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue, managing a team of field promoters, and ensuring that brand‑building activities are executed flawlessly across all merchant locations.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for the designated Medan area by developing and executing effective promotion plans.
  • Conduct daily visits to merchants, establishing and nurturing strong relationships with store point‑of‑contact (PIC) personnel.
  • Ensure that all promotional programs run smoothly, monitoring key performance indicators to guarantee that sales objectives are met.
  • Oversee the strategic placement of POP (Point‑of‑Purchase) materials, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
  • Coordinate with partner operational teams to gather market intelligence on competitor activities, sales trends, and field challenges.
  • Lead a team of 15–20 sales promoters, providing clear direction, motivation, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor daily activities of promoters, reviewing reports, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Organize and deliver regular training sessions and refresher courses to enhance the skills and product knowledge of the field team.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, obstacles, and opportunities for growth.
  • Adapt schedules to a shifting work pattern, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday, 11:00‑20:00), to align with peak sales periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a diploma is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in sales promotion, preferably within financial services (insurance, unit trusts) or consumer goods.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience managing a team of field staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with merchants and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in marketing on social media platforms and familiarity with digital promotion tools.
  • Solid analytical abilities to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
  • Flexibility to work shifting schedules, including weekends.
  • Gender: Open to all candidates.
