About the Role

As our Risk Analyst, you will analyze data to identify and validate high-risk users in Gojek on-demand platforms such as GoFood, GoRide, GoMart, GoSend, etc. Armed with data analytics skills in SQL, Python, you will be in charge of the investigation of fraud and complaint cases and build analytical tools such as dashboards and SOP to improve the process. Working within the Risk function, you will get to learn about risk analytics and fraud detection and management. What You Will Do
Investigate potential risk and fraud cases that are flagged by the Gojek fraud detection system and business teams
Investigate consumer, driver, and merchant behaviors and transactions to determine if any risk or fraud
Identify likely fraud MO and feedback to risk teams for action
Build a knowledge repository for validation SOP across the entire Risk org. Set up the automation process through queries and scripts where applicable
Design and execute penetration testing on the Gojek ecosystem
What You Will Need
Experience in data-driven problem-solving roles in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Quantitative disciplines
Good coding skills in one or more programming languages, e.g. Python, SQL, BigQuery
Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Metabase is preferred by not required
Good communication and writing skills in English to present and engage with team and stakeholders about risk analysis
Curiosity and a keen interest in data analytics Experience in managing a team is a plus
Experience in setting up automation processes through queries and scripts is a plus
About the Team
Our objective as Gojek’s Risk Team is to ensure a safe and trusted platform that our users can trust, rely on, and love to come back to. To manifest that objective, we analyze suspected fraud cases and customer complaints and propose resolutions & SOP to improve Trust and Safety for all Gojek users.
We use big data with human intelligence to make the best decision. For instance, team members will work with Risk managers and Business teams to detect potential risks on the Gojek platform and develop logic and algorithm to accurately establish the ground truth of the risk types and modus operandi, and work with risk managers to come up with solutions to prevent and mitigate losses.
Our Risk Analytics team currently consists of members based in Jakarta, Indonesia, we’re a tight-knit group that are bonded by two things: Trust and Safety and personal growth and well-being . We work hard and play hard, and support each other. What drives us is our shared sense of Trust and Safety. When we aren’t busy fighting risk on our Gojek platform, we enjoy bonding over our shared love of good food, playing bridge or poker, finding the best running track in our cities, and shopping.
