Basic Role
Develop, test, deploy, maintain & update our website
Can work on a complex live site under the guidance of a project manager
Work with directors and designers on UI/UX and website design
Work with external / freelance web developers
Requirements
Backend: PHP, Joomla, Laravel, Scraping, PHPUnit test suite and API
Database: MySQL, SQL Queries
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JS, Jquery, Bootstrap Framework, Vue JS / Nuxt JS and Flutter (mobile app) is a plus
Expert in PHP / JavaScript / HTML5 / XML / JQUERY / AJAX / CSS, MySQL/SQL on Joomla/Drupal and other major frameworks.
Has strong understanding of database structure, db design and MySQL databases.
Has understanding of system analysis and design for add-on modules of an existing application.
A solid understanding of how web applications work and development best practices, including how to implement 3-tier architecture on CMS.
Strong understanding of MVC and OOP concept
Knowledge of SEO is a strong advantage.
Problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.
Excellent people skills and a collaborative attitude.
Loves to try out new web technologies
Education
Diploma/Degree in computer science or equivalent
Able to write and speak English well.
Quality Control Skill
Adhere to our internal IT governance and processes.
Take formal responsibility for ensuring that the web applications are adequately tested before roll out.
