We are seeking a dedicated Mekanik Perawatan Kendaraan to join our dynamic service team in Samarinda. As a key member of our automotive workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars to light commercial trucks. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other critical components to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Perform diagnostic tests using modern scan tools and equipment to pinpoint functional issues and interpret fault codes accurately.
- Execute routine and complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission servicing, suspension adjustments, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve reported customer complaints in a timely manner, ensuring vehicles are returned to service within agreed timelines.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders, and update maintenance logs to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring that critical components are available when needed while minimizing excess stock.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and promote a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate closely with fellow technicians, service advisors, and management to prioritize workload and share technical knowledge.
- Provide mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices, fostering a culture of learning and skill development.
- Stay current with emerging automotive technologies, manufacturer service bulletins, and industry best practices through ongoing training.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMK Otomotif, Teknik Mesin, or equivalent technical diploma; high school (SMA/SMK) graduates are also considered.
- At least 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field; fresh graduates with strong practical training are welcome.
- Physical fitness: minimum height 165 cm, good vision (no color blindness), and ability to lift heavy components safely.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, torque wrenches, lifts, and other workshop tools.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting diagnostic data and solving mechanical problems efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, and willingness to be stationed permanently in Samarinda.
