We are seeking a dedicated Guru Bimbingan Konseling Sekolah Menengah Atas (High School Guidance Counselor) to join our vibrant educational community. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted mentor and advisor for students aged 15‑18, helping them navigate academic challenges, personal development, and future career planning. Responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one counseling sessions to support students’ emotional, social, and academic well‑being.
- Develop and deliver workshops on topics such as stress management, study skills, career exploration, and college admissions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to identify at‑risk students and create individualized intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, documenting counseling activities, referrals, and outcomes.
- Assist students in setting realistic academic goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Organize school‑wide events that promote mental health awareness and personal growth, such as wellness fairs and peer‑mentoring programs.
- Stay current with national education policies, counseling best practices, and emerging trends in adolescent development.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, professional development sessions, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Provide crisis intervention and refer students to external mental‑health professionals when necessary.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s counseling curriculum and resources.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum S1 (Bachelor’s degree) in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior teaching or counseling experience in a secondary‑school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of building rapport with diverse student populations.
- Personal Qualities: Patience, discipline, strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine passion for youth development.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and external partners.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with student information systems and basic office software; willingness to adopt new digital counseling tools.
- Work Schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
