Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Professional Photo Editor to join our growing digital media team located in the historic Kampung Batik Kauman. This role is ideal for a motivated young woman who is currently pursuing higher education and wishes to apply her creative talents in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment. As a key member of our content production pipeline, you will help shape the visual identity of our online platforms, ensuring every image meets the highest standards of quality, relevance, and brand consistency.
Responsibilities
The Photo Editor will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that support the creation and distribution of engaging visual content across multiple digital channels. Typical duties include:
- Importing, organizing, and archiving raw photo files from photographers, field reporters, and user submissions.
- Performing color correction, exposure adjustment, cropping, and retouching to enhance visual appeal while preserving authenticity.
- Applying consistent style guidelines for social media, websites, newsletters, and promotional banners.
- Collaborating closely with writers, designers, and marketing specialists to ensure images align with editorial narratives and campaign objectives.
- Optimizing images for web performance, including resizing, compressing, and converting to appropriate file formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP).
- Maintaining a digital asset management system and updating metadata for easy retrieval.
- Staying up‑to‑date with industry trends such as AI‑assisted editing tools, mobile photography standards, and emerging visual storytelling techniques.
- Providing constructive feedback to contributors and mentoring junior team members on best practices.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications and possess the soft skills that drive excellence in a collaborative digital media setting.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; currently enrolled in a university program is highly preferred.
- Age: Female, maximum 25 years old.
- Gender: Female (per company policy for this specific position).
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; strong portfolio of personal or academic projects is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or comparable editing software; basic knowledge of file formats and web optimization.
- Personal Attributes: Honesty, high work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Availability: Able to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, at the Kampung Batik Kauman office.
