Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Junior Engineer to join our fast‑growing data center operations team in Cirebon. This entry‑level position offers a unique opportunity to work hands‑on with state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, support critical network services, and develop a solid foundation in IT and electrical engineering within a dynamic, technology‑driven environment. The successful candidate will report to the Data Center Operations Manager and will be expected to contribute to the reliability, security, and efficiency of our facilities while providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management and monitoring of data center infrastructure, including power distribution units, UPS systems, precision air conditioning (PAC), and fire suppression equipment.
- Operate and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
- Support the security subsystem by managing CCTV cameras, access‑control devices, and visitor‑access workflows.
- Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with K3 (occupational health and safety) policies.
- Log incidents, create detailed service reports, and follow up on corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and be prepared to respond to emergency situations outside regular working hours.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot complex network and power issues, documenting root‑cause analyses for future reference.
- Assist in the configuration, testing, and rollout of new hardware or software upgrades within the data center.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all hardware assets and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Provide timely and courteous communication with customers and internal stakeholders regarding service status and resolution timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (D3 acceptable with strong relevant experience).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a data center or similar IT‑infrastructure environment; 2 years preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities with a calm, methodical approach to incident resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
- Customer‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering reliable and timely support.
- Willingness to work shift schedules and be on‑call as required.
- Good working knowledge of IT networking concepts; certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Familiarity with data center power systems (PDU, UPS, generators) and environmental controls (PAC, fire suppression) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated responsibility, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
