Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy community pharmacy setting. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications while adhering to legal and safety standards.
- Verify prescription details, check for potential drug interactions, and ensure accurate labeling.
- Maintain organized inventory, perform regular stock counts, and manage expiration dates for all pharmaceutical products.
- Provide clear, patient‑focused counseling on medication usage, dosage instructions, and potential side effects (KIE – Komunikasi Ilmu dan Edukasi).
- Handle customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and operate the pharmacy point‑of‑sale system efficiently.
- Support the preparation of compounded medications and assist in sterile compounding when required.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with hygiene, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage workload during peak hours, weekends, and national holidays.
- Utilize computer applications for inventory management, prescription processing, and record‑keeping.
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay up‑to‑date with the latest pharmaceutical guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3 or D4 in Pharmacy or a related field; SMK Farmasi graduates are highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of practical experience working in a pharmacy environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in delivering medication education (KIE).

- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices is a plus.
