Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Kitchen Assistant (Asisten Dapur Senior) to join our dynamic culinary team in Padang. As a senior member of the kitchen support staff, you will act as a bridge between the executive chefs and the junior kitchen crew, fostering a disciplined, efficient, and collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate is a motivated young woman who has completed at least a high school education, preferably with a background in culinary arts or bakery operations. You must be communicative, disciplined, and willing to work a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00. Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in the planning, preparation, and execution of daily menu items, with a strong emphasis on bakery products and pastry items.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and rotation of raw ingredients to maintain freshness and comply with food safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors, ensuring they are clean and functional.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to verify deliveries, check inventory levels, and report any discrepancies.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen assistants on standard operating procedures, knife skills, and hygiene practices.
- Monitor preparation timelines, ensuring that all components are ready for service without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular sanitation checks, enforce proper personal hygiene, and document compliance with health‑code standards.
- Assist in menu development by providing feedback on ingredient availability, cost efficiency, and preparation feasibility.
- Maintain accurate records of production yields, waste, and daily output for continuous improvement analysis.
- Support the kitchen manager in scheduling shifts, managing payroll records for kitchen staff, and handling any on‑site personnel issues.
Requirements
- Gender: Female (Perempuan)
- Age: Maximum 25 years
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or substantial bakery experience.
- Experience: At least 0‑1 year of hands‑on kitchen or bakery experience; demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment.
- Key Skills: Strong communication, disciplined work ethic, ability to follow recipes precisely, and basic knowledge of food safety standards.
- Location: Must reside in Padang or be willing to relocate.
- Availability: Full‑time, Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
