Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Assistant – Engineering Department to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for candidates who have a solid technical background, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate across functions. As an essential bridge between our engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing units, you will help drive operational excellence while supporting day‑to‑day activities in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in planning, documenting, and executing engineering projects.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by conducting inspections, tracking non‑conformities, and preparing corrective‑action reports.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, and propose actionable solutions.
- Maintain and update engineering documentation, drawings, and standard operating procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless hand‑over of designs, tooling, and process changes.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance dashboards using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for senior management review.
- Facilitate internal audits and support external certification bodies during inspections.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on best practices for problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
- Manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and handle logistical arrangements for cross‑functional workshops.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Diploma) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; certifications in Six Sigma, 8D, or Kaizen are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze root causes and develop effective corrective actions.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team‑oriented mindset.
- Highly organized, responsible, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
- Open to working Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
