The CDP restaurant network is seeking a dedicated Staf Bagian Grill (Pengoperasian) to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential for delivering high‑quality grilled dishes that meet the expectations of our diverse clientele. As a key member of the food‑service operation, you will work closely with chefs, servers, and management to ensure seamless service from preparation to plate. The ideal candidate will possess solid hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced restaurant or hotel environment, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
The Grill Staff member will be responsible for the full spectrum of grill station duties, ensuring that every dish is prepared to the highest standards of taste, safety, and presentation. Core responsibilities include:
- Operating grill equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring temperature controls, and adjusting heat levels to achieve optimal cooking results.
- Preparing and seasoning a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Coordinating with the kitchen brigade to time orders correctly, ensuring that plated dishes reach guests promptly and at the proper temperature.
- Maintaining strict adherence to food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of all ingredients.
- Conducting regular inventory checks, reporting low stock, and assisting with ordering to keep the grill station well‑supplied.
- Performing routine cleaning and sanitation of the grill area, tools, and equipment at the start, during, and end of each shift.
- Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff on grill techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Communicating effectively with front‑of‑house staff to address special requests, dietary restrictions, and any service issues.
- Participating in menu development sessions, offering suggestions for new grilled items or improvements to existing recipes.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and reporting any hazards immediately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar grill or hot‑line position within a restaurant or hotel setting.
- High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent educational background.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat cuts, seasoning blends, and cooking times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness, and a strong team‑player mentality.
- Ability to start immediately and commit to a full‑time schedule of Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a hot, fast‑moving environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to peak service periods and occasional overtime as required.
- Basic understanding of bread preparation (Pembuat Roti) is considered a valuable additional skill.
